Best treatment option out there for calcium oxalate stones!
Brace yourselves a long and detailed review is coming. Let me start by saying I am a 33 year old female of all of 104 pounds and have been dealing with SERIOUS oxalate issues since my early 20s and by serious I dont mean I get a kidney stone or 2 a year or have had 1 or 2 lithotripsies or even that I have experienced the joy of having a stone LODGED in my ureter.

Texas Inmate Asks To Delay Execution For Kidney Donation
HOUSTON A Texas inmate who is set to be put to death in less than two weeks asked that his execution be delayed so he can donate a kidney.
Ramiro Gonzales is scheduled to receive a lethal injection on July 13 for fatally shooting 18-year-old Bridget Townsend, a southwest Texas woman whose remains were found nearly two years after she vanished in 2001.
In a letter sent Wednesday, Gonzales lawyers, Thea Posel and Raoul Schonemann, asked Republican Gov. Greg Abbott to grant a 30-day reprieve so the inmate can be considered a living donor to someone who is in urgent need of a kidney transplant.
His attorneys have made a separate request to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for a 180-day reprieve related to the kidney donation.
In their request to Abbott, Gonzales attorneys included a letter from Cantor Michael Zoosman, an ordained Jewish clergyman from Maryland who has been corresponding with Gonzales.
There has been no doubt in my mind that Ramiros desire to be an altruistic kidney donor is not motivated by a last-minute attempt to stop or delay his execution. I will go to my grave believing in my heart that this is something that Ramiro wants to do to help make his soul right with his God, Zoosman wrote.

It’s too early to be sure if the compound hydroxycitrate will become a preventive treatment for kidney stones, since extensive research in people hasn’t begun. Still, it could offer an alternative to potassium citrate, which treats kidney stones but has side effects, the study authors explained.
At issue: the calcium oxalate crystals that are the most common component of kidney stones, mineral deposits that form inside the kidneys. They may get stuck in the urinary tract, blocking urination and causing great pain.
Kidney stones affect an estimated 12 percent of men and 7 percent of women. High blood pressure, diabetes and obesity can increase the risk.
Physicians often urge people who are at risk to drink a lot of water and avoid foods high in oxalate, such as spinach, almonds, okra and rhubarb. Doctors may also recommend potassium citrate, a dietary supplement that can slow the growth of crystals.

Holy Cats Time Flies By
Wow!!! I can’t believe it’s been a whole week since I wrote last. Maybe I should turn this into a once a week thing and stop feeling guilty. Nothing happens in my life anyway
But I will say my excuse this week is this household was SICK!!! Holy Hannah!!!!! Monte and I came down with it first. Pukey, tired, so weak I could hardly stand up and NOT hungry.
